Arthur G., a retired Pharmacist, moved to Independent Living at Paul’s Run last April. His mother, who lived to be 102 years old, also lived happily for many years at Paul’s Run. “I was seen immediately by the Registered Nurse Practitioner, who consulted with the Curana doctor about my situation. The next day, I received lab tests and a chest X-ray in my apartment, and was prescribed medication,” says Arthur.

Arthur was impressed by the speed and efficiency with which the Curana team operates.

“No time was wasted in getting me the help I needed. It affords another choice for promptly and conveniently getting medical attention when it is needed,” he adds.

Convenience is Key for Residents

Carol, an Independent Living resident of Paul’s Run for three years, represents one of three generations of women who live at Paul’s Run.  Her 100 year old mother lives in Healthcare, as well as her daughter resides in Personal Care.

Carol uses the Curana team as her primary medical team.

“It is so convenient. Over the Fourth of July, they were closed just for the holiday, but were back at work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so there was no lapse in service. If I had had an emergency during the holiday weekend, I would have still been taken care of right away, which makes me very comfortable,” she adds.

Like Carol, Judy has been a resident at Paul’s Run for several years. She too uses Curana for her primary physician so she does not have to leave the premises when she needs medical attention.

“It is very handy to have the office right here, and I maintain contact with specialists in the area for other medical concerns,” Judy shares.
